Prayer at the Kotel

A man seen from behind, wholly draped in his tallit, facing the stones of the Kotel. The painting is worked in black, white and grey: the folds of the prayer shawl, almost luminous, stand out against the darker, vibrating surface of the wall. The face is hidden, and that is exactly what leaves all the room to the prayer.
